NCTM Grant in Discrete Mathematics Awarded

I spent about 2 months putting together this website, a professional portfolio, mission statements, and revising my resume and writing grants to sustain this mission.

It's been a steep learning curve. The large grants generally fund organizations, and the smaller grants seem to only fund either professional development in the form of coursework or supplies for students.

Only Fulbright seems to pay for a year of what I am looking to do, and I didn't get this idea until the deadline had passed, and they fund mostly research which I am not currently interested in doing.

I was lucky enough to receive a fellowship from Regeneron, which has me engaging with materials related to the NGSS (New Generation Science Standards), and that has already pushed my ideas in a direction that is slightly different from my original idea.

I just received an NCTM grant for coursework to enrich my knowledge in Discrete Mathematics and History of Mathematics, which does align with some of my original ideas. Although the funds that come with this award cannot be used towards my living expenses, free education is free education and of great value.

I am just very excited and honored to know that such great organizations see value in what I strive to do.
